About Mayor Katherine Lee
Katherine Lee is a former Alhambra Unified School District teacher and a dedicated advocate for education and community service. A graduate of Alhambra High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master of Arts in Education/Educational Leadership from Point Loma University. She also holds a Certificate of Eligibility for an Administrative Services Credential and a Clear Cross-cultural, Language, and Academic Development (CLAD) Certificate. In addition to her work in education, Katherine serves as the Chair of the Alhambra Teachers Association Negotiation and Finance Committee and is the head volunteer at the American Renascent Center – Community Crisis Center Alhambra Ninth Street Subsite. Her contributions to the field of education were recognized with the California Teachers Association WHO Award in 2005. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding with her newly adopted 4-year-old pony and spending time with her miniature horse.
