AMBASSADOR COMMITTEE
Represent Alhambra as a Chamber Ambassador
The Ambassador Committee comprises dedicated individuals who serve as liaisons between the Alhambra Chamber and its members. Ambassadors actively engage with new and existing businesses, fostering connections and ensuring members fully benefit from their Chamber affiliation.
The purpose of the Alhambra Chamber Ambassadors is to:

As a Chamber Ambassador, you get to know—and be known by—community leaders, government officials, and key business leaders.

Qualifications
Successful ambassadors must:
Have been a Chamber member for at least six months
Have attended at least four Chamber events
Be able to commit at least one year as an Ambassador and agree to the expectations of an Ambassador (see below)

To maintain your role as an ambassador, you must continue to meet the expectations outlined in your signed ambassador commitment form.
As an Ambassador, you will be expected to:
Be friendly, personable, and approachable
Enjoy giving back/volunteering
Represent the Chamber at events when requested and take on specific roles (see below)
Sign up to attend at least one in-person membership event per month (on average): Alhambra Connects, AMP Power Hour, Alhambra a la Mode, and others
Sign up to volunteer at least one signature event per year (Presidents Awards, Lunar New Year, Rose Court Luncheon, or State of the City)
Attend Quarterly Lunch Meetings
Attend Monthly Ambassador Committee Meeting
Attend Ribbon Cuttings when able
Visit at least one “Restaurant of the Week” monthly (during their featured week)
Participate in “Business Blitzes” with Chamber Staff and Board and City officials
Reach out to your assigned members (up to 10) on a monthly basis (text, email, calls, etc.) to:
Invite them to join events
Encourage them to visit the “Restaurant of the Week”
Invite people to take surveys or join committee work as needed
Find out what their business needs and report so Chamber staff can address it
As requested, visit strategic newly opened businesses to welcome them as fellow business owners with a Chamber Benefits Kit
Bring potential members to events (in coordination with the Membership Manager)
Pass potential membership leads to Membership Manager
Attend Chamber Ambassador training
Adhere to the Chamber’s Code of Conduct
Ambassadors will be asked to take on one of the following roles at Chamber events:
Pre-event partnership briefing (ALL): Review event registrants and identify three (3) sets of people you could connect with for their mutual benefit.
Check-in/Greeter: Greet people at the door, keep the check-in line to less than two minutes, and connect guests to those you think they should network with by directing them to a “Butterfly.”
Butterfly: Visit each attendee to determine their needs from the Chamber, remind them of key events or programs, and collect business cards. The script is provided.
Activity Assistant: Help support members participate in activities as requested by staff.
